Initial situation

Vapeshop Gubrist, a well-known supplier of e-cigarettes and accessories in Zurich, already operated a successful physical store and wanted to expand its business by going online. The aim was to use SEO to establish a new digital presence in e-commerce in order to reach a larger customer base and increase online sales.

As the online store had to be developed from scratch, a comprehensive analysis and strategy were essential. In addition to setting up the store, a marketing strategy had to be developed in order to increase both visibility and conversion rates in the long term.

APPROACH

To begin with, we carried out a detailed target group and competitor analysis to create the basis for the user-centered design and structure of the online store. The resulting UI/UX design was implemented on WooCommerce. A dark color palette with brown-beige highlights and individually designed icons underlined the industrial character of the brand.

The integration of a payment gateway with common payment methods such as Twint and the connection to the POS system and the Bexio accounting software were also implemented. Stock levels and payments between the online store and the retail store are now processed automatically.

In addition to designing the store, we carried out a comprehensive SEO audit and strategy. We analyzed technical and content optimization potential as well as backlink opportunities. Based on this, we implemented technical optimizations and continuously supported the store with content optimizations and link building in order to continuously achieve more visibility, traffic and sales.

RESULTS

Thanks to the redesign and targeted on-page SEO measures, Vapeshop Gubrist achieved the top position for the keyword "Vapeshop" within six months and ranked in the top 3 for "Vape Shop Zurich". The website now ranks for almost 2,000 keywords in the top 100 search results and was able to increase traffic by an impressive 410%.

In addition to increased visibility, the project also led to greater customer loyalty and more positive customer feedback. The combination of modern web design and a targeted marketing strategy not only increased sales, but also strengthened the brand in the digital sector in the long term.
