Beyondweb has redesigned our restaurant website to create a modern and appealing experience. The wow factor delights our guests and reflects the quality of our business. Since the relaunch, we've seen a 20% increase in bookings – the relaunch was a complete success.

Initial situation

The existing website of the gourmet restaurant in Basel did not reflect the innovative cuisine or the modern ambience of the restaurant.

The outdated website was cluttered, with many tiles that made navigation difficult. This resulted in a low conversion rate as few visitors were making reservations online. Beyondweb was contacted to solve these challenges.

APPROACH

At the beginning, we defined the site architecture to ensure that users can find all relevant information with just a few clicks. During the kick-off, the design direction was determined and a new corporate design was developed together with the in-house graphic designer, coordinated with the existing card design and the restaurant's display stands.

Based on this, we created a design system for the website that uniformly defined colors, fonts and icons. The design was initially applied to three pages and then rolled out to all others. Professional food photography by Marc Niedermann emphasized the quality and atmosphere of the restaurant.

Finally, the website was developed according to best practices, with a focus on loading times and SEO optimization. The project was successfully completed and launched within four months.

RESULTS

Since the website relaunch, the Rote Bären has increased online bookings by 20%. The new website boasts clear navigation, an appealing design and an optimized user experience that reflects the restaurant's innovative approach.

The management and the entire owner team are extremely satisfied with the result and have already engaged Beyondweb for two further web projects, which also involve redesigning and relaunching the websites of partner restaurants.
