Wix vs. WordPress – The Big Comparison 2026

Wix or WordPress? I'll explain which CMS is better suited to your needs and which platform offers more potential in the long term.

Follow on LinkedIn

Creating your own website has never been easier.

But on the basis of which CMS system?

Without previous experience, it is often difficult to decide which CMS is most suitable for your own project.

Two of the world's most popular CMS systems are Wix and WordPress.‍

While over 243 million users rely on Wix, WordPress is the market leader with 513.58 million users worldwide.

But does more users = better?

No, it's not that simple. The choice between these two systems depends above all on what you want to achieve with your website.‍

Do you want to quickly create an appealing website without any technical know-how?

Or would you like a professional, expandable website with more functions in the long term?

In this comparison, I'll show you the most important differences, advantages and disadvantages of Wix and WordPress based on my own experience as a WordPress agency owner.

By the end of this article, you will know exactly which system is best suited to your website project.

Even though our agency specializes in WordPress, I try to remain as neutral as possible.

On the one hand, to give you a good basis for making a decision.

On the other hand, I know from my own experience that not everything is good with WordPress either.

The most important facts in brief

  • Wix is ideal for complete beginners who want to create a website without any technical know-how.
  • WordPress offers more control, flexibility and expansion options, but basically requires more know-how and initiative.
  • The SEO plugins and e-commerce functionalities are much more sophisticated with WordPress than with Wix.
  • Wix has a fixed app market, while WordPress offers thousands of plugins.

Wix vs WordPress - The most important differences

The choice between Wix and WordPress depends on what requirements you have for your website.

Proprietary software vs. open source

The biggest difference between Wix and WordPress is probably the software license model.

Wix is a proprietary software.

This means that the source code is not publicly accessible and may not be passed on or modified.

With Wix, you pay accordingly for the use of this software.

You can use apps from the default Wix app store, but you cannot program your own apps and link them to Wix.

Modification of the Wix source code is also only possible to a limited extent. These limits are set directly by the Wix software.

WordPress is different because it is an open source platform.

This means that the source code of WordPress is publicly accessible, usable and modifiable.

Einfach gesagt: Man kann mit dem Code von WordPress bauen, was man will, und die Software kostet dich nichts.

This is also the reason why a huge ecosystem of developers has gathered around WordPress, who have built additional software extensions (plugins) for WordPress.

Today, there are estimated to be around 60,000 plugins on WordPress that you can use for free or for a fee.

A brief digression: Many people believe that WordPress is vulnerable to cyberattacks due to its open source nature.

However, the exact opposite is the case, as I explain here.‍

Wix Editor and Editor X

The standard Wix editor is a website builder that offers you a simple drag-and-drop interface.

Du kannst eine Website erstellen, ohne technisches Wissen oder Programmierkenntnisse zu haben.

Everything is controlled via a visual user interface, and there are many ready-made designs (templates) and simple functions.

For more advanced users and agencies, Wix offers the Editor X. It allows you to create individual designs for those who want to create a customized layout.

Gutenberg Editor and Webbuilder

WordPress is a flexible content management system (CMS) that also gives you various design options.

You can work with ready-made templates, such as those from AstraThemes or ThemeForest, or create a completely individual design.

Many users and agencies work with WordPress with a web builder such as Elementor or Divi and not with the standard Gutenberg editor.

The Gutenberg Editor is ideal for a blog or simple layouts, for example. It is installed by default on every WordPress website.

For more sophisticated custom designs, however, it is also worth using a web builder such as Elementor.

Elementor also works according to the modular principle.

You can use ready-made sections and modules via drag-and-drop or design sections directly and individually.‍

Hosting

When you create a website with Wix, your website is automatically hosted on your Wix servers or on one of Wix's AWS (Amazon Web Services).

You don't have to worry about hosting, but you also don't have the flexibility to choose the best and fastest server.

All websites at Wix are on shared hosting, which means that your website is on the same server as many other websites.

The advantage of this is cost efficiency.

The disadvantage of shared hosting is that it is relatively slow, which can have a negative impact on your loading times and search engine optimization (SEO) - especially if you have an increased volume of traffic.

Search engine optimization (SEO)

Many people who build a new website want to market it afterwards via SEO or search engine advertising (SEA).

Here, too, there are some differences to consider.

WordPress is a native blogging tool and offers many functions when it comes to editing content.

In addition, SEO plugins such as RankMath or Yoast can be used to quickly add structured data, canonicals, meta elements or 301 redirects.

Wix, on the other hand, also offers basic functions, but even when storing structured data, you have to use external markup generators to implement this on the website.

Furthermore, the free choice of WordPress hosting means that additional performance optimizations such as server-side caching and CSS and JavaScript optimizations can be carried out using managed WordPress solutions such as Kinsta or Siteground or plugins such as WPRocket.

E-commerce

Here too, the two platforms offer a slightly different approach.

As already mentioned, WordPress was originally developed as a blogging tool.

Mit dem WooCommerce-Plugin gibt es aber eine Möglichkeit, auch einen Online-Shop über WordPress zu betreiben.

The WooCommerce plugin can be used free of charge with its standard functions.

However, there is a high probability that further plugins (including paid ones) will be added if specific functions are required.‍

Einen externen Zahlungsanbieter wie beispielsweise Worldline muss man bei WooCommerce ebenfalls selbst organisieren und dann über ein Plugin anbinden.

Wix also offers an all-in-one system in the e-commerce sector with hosting, design functionality and payment processing.

Wix is therefore a great solution for small to medium-sized stores that want to get started quickly.

The problem with Wix in e-commerce is usually performance.

Wix is often not an option, especially for larger online stores, because the standard servers are simply overloaded once the store reaches a certain size.

We have now looked at the most important differences.

Here is an overview of everything again:‍

Table showing the differences between Wix and WordPress

Which system is suitable for whom?

Wix is ideal for:

  • Beginners who want to create a website without technical knowledge
  • Small businesses, freelancers or artists who need an appealing website quickly
  • Users who do not want to deal with hosting, updates and technical settings
Table showing who Wix is ideally suited for

WordPress is better for:

  • Individuals and companies who want to set up a professional website
  • Companies looking for a scalable solution with more functions and control
  • Users who want to deal with SEO, online stores or individual customizations
Table showing who WordPress is ideally suited for

Wix makes it easier for you to get started, while WordPress gives you more options if you want to optimize and expand your website in the long term.

Which platform is better for you depends on how much flexibility, control and scalability you need.‍

Wix - The simple website builder for beginners

Wix is a website builder that is aimed specifically at beginners.‍

If you want to quickly create an appealing website without having to deal with hosting, code or complex settings, Wix is a great solution.

How does Wix work?

With Wix, you can design your website using drag-and-drop.

‍You don't have to learn programming or deal with hosting providers.

‍Everything runs via a central platform where you:

  • Select a design template
  • Simply add content using the modular principle
  • Integrate apps and premium functions via the app market
  • Hosting and technical updates can be managed automatically

Wix therefore offers an intuitive interface that makes it easy to create a professional websiteeven without experience‍

Advantages and disadvantages of Wix

Advantages of Wix

  1. Easy to use: Thanks to the drag-and-drop interface, you can design your website directly.
  2. Quick start: You don't need any installation or hosting settings - everything works straight away.
  3. Integrated functions: Many features such as SEO options, forms and online store functions are already included.
  4. App market: You can add additional functions such as booking systems or newsletter tools.
  5. Sicherheit und Wartung: Wix übernimmt automatisch Updates und Hosting-Sicherheit.

Disadvantages of Wix

  1. Limited flexibility: Compared to WordPress, you cannot edit the code directly or program your own functions.
  2. Template restriction: Once a template has been selected, it is difficult to change it later.
  3. Long-term costs: Wix is based on a subscription model that can become expensive depending on the functions.
  4. SEO and loading speed: The options for SEO optimization are more limited than with WordPress.
  5. Dependence on Wix: Your website remains tied to the platform - you cannot simply transfer it to another hosting provider.
Table showing the advantages and disadvantages of Wix

Simple operation, but limited flexibility

Wix makes it easy to get started, but as soon as you want individual customizations, you quickly reach your limits.

While you can design almost everything yourself with WordPress, with Wix you have to rely on the templates and apps provided.

Design freedom vs. template restriction

Wix offers you many templates and design options, but:

  • You can freely customize colors, fonts and content.
  • You cannot simply change your template after the first selection without rebuilding the entire website.

If you want a highly customizable website in the long term, WordPress is the better choice.

Costs and hosting at Wix

Wix offers different tariffs that vary depending on the range of functions:

Table showing the costs and hosting at Wix

Hosting is always included, but you cannot move Wix to your own server.

WordPress - The CMS for individual websites

WordPress is the world's most widely used content management system (CMS) and offers maximum flexibility for any type of website.

Whether you want to create a blog, a company website or an online store - you can do it all with WordPress.

What makes WordPress so flexible?

  1. Open source platform: You can customize the code and design your website individually.
  2. Themes & plugins: Thousands of free and paid extensions allow infinite customization.
  3. Your own choice of hosting: You can run WordPress on any hosting provider.
  4. E-commerce integration: WooCommerce can be used to implement complete online stores.
  5. SEO optimization: WordPress offers better SEO functionality than many modular systems.

WordPress requires more technical know-how than Wix, but you have full control over your website.‍

WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

Many people confuse WordPress.com and WordPress.org, but there are important differences:

Table showing the differences between WordPress.com vs WordPress.org

If you want full control, WordPress.org is the better choice.

WordPress.com is intended more for simple websites without technical customizations.

Advantages and disadvantages of WordPress

Advantages of WordPress

  1. Maximum customization: You can change themes, plugins and the code according to your wishes.
  2. Grosse Community: Tausende Entwickler sorgen für regelmässige Updates und Verbesserungen.
  3. SEO optimization: Plugins such as Yoast SEO or Rank Math give you advanced SEO options.
  4. E-commerce functions: WooCommerce offers a powerful solution for online stores.
  5. Independence: You are not tied to one provider and can change hosting at any time.

Disadvantages of WordPress

  1. Higher learning curve: Compared to Wix, WordPress is more complex to set up.
  2. Maintenance effort: You have to carry out updates for WordPress, plugins and themes yourself.
  3. Sicherheitsrisiken: Eine unsichere Konfiguration kann Angriffe ermöglichen – regelmässige Updates sind Pflicht.
  4. Hosting and domain separately: You have to choose a hosting provider and manage your domain yourself.
Table showing the advantages and disadvantages of WordPress

Maximum control, but higher learning curve

WordPress gives you full control over your website, but you have to deal with hosting, updates and plugins.

If you want a long-term, professional website with a high degree of flexibility, WordPress is the best choice.

Themes & Plugins

  • Themes: There are thousands of free and premium themes that you can customize.
  • Plugins: Extensions for SEO, security, performance or marketing are available in a large selection.

But:

  • Du musst Plugins regelmässig aktualisieren, um Sicherheitslücken zu vermeiden.
  • Not every theme or plugin is well programmed - careful selection is important.

Hosting options and costs for WordPress

Unlike Wix, with WordPress.org you have to choose your own hosting.

The costs depend on your requirements:

Table showing hosting options and costs for WordPress

Additional costs may be incurred for:

  • Premium themes (30-100 € one-off)
  • Plugins (e.g. SEO tools, security solutions)
  • Maintenance and safety

What can Wix do better, what can WordPress do better?

In the following section, I would like to evaluate the two systems Wix and WordPress.

This evaluation is based on a number of criteria which, in our view, should always be taken into account when choosing a CMS.

The categories are presented in a tier system to clearly visualize the performance of the two platforms:

A matrix showing the rating system for the comparison. The different tiers are listed on the left. At the top are the different dimensions that are included in the evaluation

Rating system

  • S-Tier: The platform fulfills all requirements perfectly and offers exceptional advantages.
  • A-Tier: The platform offers great features with few limitations.
  • B-Tier: A solid choice with good functions, but some weaknesses.
  • C-Tier: Meets some basic requirements, but has significant deficiencies.
  • D-Tier: Does not meet most requirements and is only suitable for very basic projects.

Criteria for the evaluation:

  • Content management (CMS): Evaluates the user-friendliness and flexibility of the platforms in the management and organization of content.
  • Design and customization options: Analyzes how well the platforms can be adapted to individual design requirements and what creative freedom they offer.
  • Extensibility: Examines the availability and quality of plugins and extensions to add additional features and integrations.
  • SEO: Evaluates the integrated functions and customization options for search engine optimization to improve visibility.
  • Multilingualism: Analyzes the suitability of platforms to support and manage multilingual websites.
  • Maintenance and updates: Evaluates the effort required to maintain and update the platforms, including the frequency and simplicity of updates.
  • Performance: Measures the loading speed and technical efficiency of the platforms, especially with increasing visitor numbers and content volumes.
  • Security: Examines the built-in security features and vulnerability to potential security threats.
  • Costs: Compares the price structure and the long-term costs incurred for the use and scaling of the platforms.

Tip: Both platforms have a learning curve, especially if you want to create a website yourself as a beginner.

All these criteria are evaluated and classified into the corresponding animal categories.

This classification makes it possible to clearly visualize the strengths and weaknesses of Wix and WordPress and to understand which platform is best suited for which type of project.

Content management in Wix and WordPress

Both platforms offer basic content management functions, but WordPress offers significantly more flexibility and functionality.

Wix relies on a visual drag-and-drop editor that makes creating and editing content very easy.

This is ideal for smaller websites with few subpages, as users do not need any technical knowledge.

However, there are limitations: While WordPress offers categories, tags and extended taxonomies out of the box, these functions are only available to a limited extent with Wix.

Wix is well suited for simple sites with static content, but is less suitable for extensive blogs, magazines or dynamic content structures.

‍In addition, there is no direct access to the code, meaning that individual adjustments are hardly possible.

Wix reaches its limits with extensive content projects.

Websites with hundreds or thousands of subpages can lose loading speed, and the options for sorting and managing content are limited.

While WordPress offers plugins and native options for this, Wix lacks many of these functions - for example for inserting tables or for advanced sorting and marking of content.

Classification:

  • Wix: C-tier
  • WordPress: S-Tier
Wix vs WordPress CMS comparison

Maintenance

Wix takes care of all maintenance and upkeep automatically, so users don't have to worry about updates, security measures or server settings.

All functions, including hosting, security updates and software updates, are managed directly by Wix, making maintenance virtually non-existent for the user.

In contrast to WordPress or other open source CMS, there is no need to manually update plugins or themes with Wix.

The system is always kept up to date without the user having to intervene.

This automatically prevents possible compatibility problems or security gaps that could arise due to outdated software.

This "all-in-one" solution makes Wix particularly attractive for users who do not want to deal with the technical aspects of website maintenance.‍

However, this dependence on Wix also means that there is no possibility to make individual server settings or decide on updates yourself‍

If you want to have full control over your maintenance strategy, Wix will quickly reach its limits.‍

Classification:

  • Wix: S-tier
  • WordPress (Managed Hosting): A-Tier
  • WordPress: C-Tier
Wix vs WordPress maintenance comparison

SEO

WordPress has the edge when it comes to SEO.

Wix offers basic SEO functions, but is much more limited compared to WordPress.

Users can customize meta titles, meta descriptions and alt tags for images, but lack advanced features such as full control over structured data or customization of the URL structure.

Another disadvantage of Wix is its limited flexibility in terms of technical SEO‍

While WordPress offers detailed control options for canonical tags, schema markup and redirects with plugins such as RankMath or Yoast SEO, Wix users often have to resort to external tools.

This can be a challenge, especially with extensive SEO strategies.

Performance optimization is also less flexible with Wix.

While WordPress can be specifically optimized by hosting providers such as Kinsta or by caching plugins, with Wix you have to rely on the performance settings provided by the platform.

Classification:

  • Wix: C-tier
  • WordPress: S-Tier
Wix vs WordPress SEO comparison

Multilingualism

Wix offers a basic multilingual function that makes it possible to provide content in several languages‍

However, it lags behind WordPress in terms of flexibility and SEO optimization.

While WordPress with WPML or Polylang can be used to create a fully-fledged, professional multilingual website, Wix has some limitations.

A major problem is the lack of complete control over the URL structure of multilingual pages.

While WordPress allows clear hreflang tags and individual permalink structures for each language, Wix works with a more rigid solution that offers less control.

This can have a negative impact on search engine optimization.

The Wix multilingual function may be sufficient for smaller websites with just a few pages, but it quickly becomes impractical and inflexible for more complex websites with several language versions.

Classification:

  • Wix: B-animal
  • WordPress: A-Tier
Wix vs WordPress multilingualism comparison

Expandability

Wix offers a limited selection of extensions via its in-house app market, which provides various additional functions such as booking systems, marketing tools or member areas‍

Compared to WordPress, however, expandability is severely limited, as users are dependent on the apps provided by Wix and cannot create their own software or individual customizations.

One major disadvantage is that many advanced functions are only available via paid premium apps.

Während WordPress mit über 60.000 kostenlosen und kostenpflichtigen Plugins nahezu unbegrenzte Anpassungsmöglichke

iten bietet, sind Nutzer bei Wix auf das beschränkte App-Ökosystem angewiesen.

Wix quickly reaches its limits, especially for companies that require individual functions.

In addition, the API integration in Wix is severely limited.

While WordPress can connect almost any external application and tool via its own interfaces, this is only possible to a limited extent with Wix.

This makes it more difficult to use Wix for larger, complex web projects that require customized functions.

Classification:

  • Wix: D-Tier
  • WordPress: S-Tier
Wix vs WordPress extensibility comparison

Security

Wix is a closed, proprietary platform‍

This means that security and maintenance are handled entirely by the provider‍

As it is not possible to change the source code or install your own plugins, hacker attacks on Wix websites are rare, as the attack surface is smaller compared to open source systems such as WordPress.

All Wix websites are equipped with SSL encryption, DDoS protection and automatic security updates as standard.

Since users do not have to perform their own server administration or plugin updates, there is no risk of security vulnerabilities arising from insecure plugins or outdated software - a problem that occurs more frequently with WordPress if it is not regularly maintained.

WordPress, on the other hand, is a frequent target of hacker attacks due to its widespread use.

Websites that are not actively secured and maintained can be more susceptible to malware, brute force attacks and other security risks.‍

However, managed hosting with providers such as Kinsta or WP Engine can significantly improve security, as these hosting providers integrate automatic security measures, regular updates and firewalls.

‍Overall, Wix offers the more secure solution for users who do not want to take care of security measures themselves.

WordPress is also secure with the right configuration.

Classification:

  • Wix: S-tier
  • WordPress (Managed Hosting): A-Tier
  • WordPress: C-Tier
Wix vs WordPress security comparison

Performance

Wix offers solid performance with integrated hosting on a cloud infrastructure.

All Wix websites are automatically hosted on a global Content Delivery Network (CDN), which ensures fast loading times.

As it is a closed platform, optimizations are already integrated by default without the user having to worry about technical settings.

However, there are restrictions:

Wix uses shared hosting, which means that your website shares resources with other users.

While this is sufficient for small to medium-sized websites, loading time problems can occur with higher traffic.

In addition, Wix does not offer any advanced options for server-side optimization, as is possible with WordPress with managed hosting or special caching plugins.

WordPress can be either very fast or slow, depending on the hosting provider and configuration.

Standard web hosting with shared servers can cause performance problems, especially if many plugins and complex themes are used.

However, managed hosting with providers such as Kinsta or Cloudways can raise performance to an extremely high level - comparable to or even better than Wix.

While Wix offers solid performance for simple websites, it lags behind WordPress with optimized hosting.

If you want to run a high-performance, scalable website, managed WordPress hosting is a better long-term solution‍

Classification:

  • Wix: A-Tier
  • WordPress (Managed Hosting): S-Tier
  • WordPress: B-Tier
Wix vs WordPress performance comparison

Costs

Wix follows a subscription model in which users pay monthly or annually for different tariffs.

All tariffs include hosting, security updates and basic functions, so there are no additional costs for external hosting providers or maintenance.

This makes the cost structure predictable and easy to calculate, especially for newcomers or small companies

However, there are restrictions‍

Extended functions, additional storage space options or e-commerce features are often only available in more expensive plans.

‍In addition, individual customization or scaling options are limited, so users are dependent on the tariffs offered by Wix.

WordPress, on the other hand, can be adapted more flexibly to individual budgets‍

While the CMS itself is free, the actual costs depend on various factors - such as hosting, premium themes, plugins or maintenance costs.

Managed hosting with providers such as Kinsta can increase costs, but at the same time offers significantly more performance and flexibility.

For small websites or simple online presences, Wix is the cheaper and more straightforward solution, as all functions are included in a single plan.

WordPress can be cheaper or more expensive, depending on your requirements and the extensions you choose.

Classification:

  • Wix: S-tier
  • WordPress: B-Tier
Wix vs WordPress cost comparison

Interim conclusion

Both platforms have their strengths and weaknesses.

Wix impresses with simple operation, automated maintenance and an all-in-one solution, while WordPress scores with maximum flexibility, expandability and better SEO functions‍

Recommendations for user groups:

  • Companies: Wix is suitable for small businesses that want to quickly create an appealing website without having to worry about hosting or maintenance. WordPress is better for companies that need a scalable and customizable solution.
  • Individuals/Bloggers: WordPress offers better SEO and blogging features, while Wix is sufficient for simple blogs but offers fewer customization options.
  • Beginners: Wix is ideal for anyone who has no prior technical knowledge and wants to start immediately with a ready-made solution. WordPress has a steeper learning curve, but offers more possibilities in the long term.
  • Developers: WordPress is the better choice for individual web projects and advanced functions. Wix is more suitable for users who want to work without coding knowledge.

Personal recommendation:

Wix is a good choice for anyone who prefers a simple, maintenance-free solution.

However, anyone who needs a scalable, SEO-optimized and customizable website in the long term will have significantly more options with WordPress.

Vergleichstabelle von Wix und WordPress in Kategorien wie Wartung, SEO und Kosten unter Verwendung eines Stufenbewertungssystems von S (am besten) bis D (am schlechtesten), wobei Logos die Leistung anzeigen.

When should you choose Wix and when should you choose WordPress?

Wix is the best choice if you want to create a simple website without any prior technical knowledge.

It is suitable for small businesses, freelancers and the self-employed who need an appealing online presence without having to deal with hosting, updates or plugins.

Wix is a quick solution, especially for portfolio sites, blogs and small online stores.

If you value ease of use and don't need in-depth customization, Wix is ideal.‍

WordPress is the better choice if you need a scalable and customizable website.

It is suitable for companies, large e-commerce projects, blogs with lots of content and complex websites.

WordPress offers maximum design flexibility, SEO optimization and expansion options.

If you want to grow in the long term and have complete control over your website, you should choose WordPress.

Especially for online stores with WooCommerce, content-rich websites and websites with special functions, WordPress is the more powerful solution‍

Is Wix really too limited?
Is WordPress really complicated?

Many people believe that Wix is only suitable for simple websites and that WordPress was made for professionals.

But these assumptions are not entirely correct.

Wix has evolved significantly in recent years and now offers powerful e-commerce features, SEO tools and design flexibility.

For many small companies, this is completely sufficient.

However, if you need in-depth customizations or complex functions, you will quickly reach your limits.

Scalability remains a challenge, as larger websites with many subpages and individual requirements are often difficult to implement.

WordPress is often seen as too complicated.

In fact, getting started can be more challenging as you have to manage hosting, themes and plugins yourself.

But with the right tools and a little training, you can adapt WordPress to your exact needs.

The scalability, customizability and SEO power are unsurpassed.

Those who are prepared to get to grips with the platform are given maximum control and growth opportunities.

The biggest difference therefore lies in the requirements.‍

Wix is ideal for a quick, uncomplicated website, while WordPress offers more options in the long term, but also entails more responsibility.

Conclusion - Which platform is right for you?

The decision between Wix vs WordPress depends on your requirements, your budget and your technical know-how.‍

Both systems have their strengths and weaknesses, but which platform is best for your website project depends on your individual needs.

If you are looking for a quick solution, want to work with a drag-and-drop interface and have no prior technical knowledge, Wix is the right website builder for you.

The platform offers simple website creation, predefined templates and integrated hosting.

However, you are limited in terms of flexibility, and complex e-commerce functions or SEO adjustments are only possible to a limited extent.

If you want a powerful platform that allows maximum customization, WordPress.org is the better choice.

With the right combination of themes, plugins and hosting, you can create a fully scalable website - whether it's a blog, company website or online store.

However, you need a little more know-how and have to take care of regular updates, security and maintenance.

The right choice depends on how much control you want to have:

  • Wix is perfect for beginners who want to create a beautiful website without any technical knowledge.
  • WordPress gives you full control over your website project, but is more complex and requires more technical understanding.

If you plan to run your website long-term and scale it professionally, WordPress.org offers the better options.

Wix, on the other hand, remains a solid choice for small businesses, freelancers or personal projects looking for a quick and uncomplicated solution.

In the end, it depends on your goals, your budget and your willingness to get involved.

If you are still unsure, test both systems and decide on the platform that best suits your project.
